Luigi Giuliani, referred to by friends simply "Gigi", was born on October 21,  1971 in Sanremo, Italy.

luigiHe began his love of baking at 15 years old in his family’s business, Antice Panificio Guiliani. Under his father’s guidance, he was taught the family’s baking methods and natural techniques; with this knowledge, he developed a deep love for the art of baking.

As his love of the craft developed, so did his desire to create and perfect his products. This thirst for knowledge led him to experiment with different ingredients giving his baked goods a signature flavor and texture.  With the use of an apple in the flour and water, his signature sour dough is the “mother” ingredient for all of his baked goods.  He maintains a reputation for handcraft production of each of his products without the use of preservatives, additives or chemicals.  

Through his membership and national advisory position in the ASSIPAN, the Association of Italian Bakers-Confcommercio Firms for Italy, he is actively involved in the standards and continuing education required in the baking/confectionery industry.
